How do the to-do lists work in UPilot?

The to-do lists in UPilot help create and streamline processes for your team. Once the field is created, the users can manage their action items by sorting them, assigning them to the right person, or even scheduling them for the right date!

Adding Action Items

A user will be able to create any actions on the to-do list along with the pre-existing ones.

To add an action item,

  1. Click on “Add a to-do
  2. Add in how you’d like to name your list
  3. [Optional] If you’d like, copy items from pre-existing templates
  4. Click ‘Apply
  •  Your list has now been added
Note: If there are pre-existing action items in your list, you will be able to add in a new item by clicking the “Add a to-do” below your list

Assigning an action item to another user

For any item within your to-do list, you can assign a specific item to another user as well for further actions.

To assign an action item to another user, you can:

  1. Head to the to-do list on the contact/deal where you’d like to assign to someone else
  2. Hover over the action item to be assigned
  3. Click on the ‘person icon’ that appears on hover
  4. On the popup that appears, start typing the name of the person to whom this is being assigned and select from the options that appear

Note: At this point, you can include in a note for the person as well.

  •  The action item is now assigned to the needed person. The person would also receive an email notifying them of the assignment.’

Scheduling an action item in your to-do list

Each individual action item within a to-do list can be scheduled to receive a reminder for the person responsible for the action item.

To schedule the action item, you can:

  1. Head to the to-do list on the contact/deal where you’d like to assign to someone else
  2. Hover over the action item to be assigned
  3. Click on the ‘schedule icon’ that appears on hover
  4. Select the date from the calendar that appears
  •  Your action item is now scheduled for the selected date.

Get notifications when an action item is completed

If you’d like to be notified (or notify someone else) when a specific item in your to-do list is marked as done, you can:

  1. Head to the to-do list on the contact/deal where you’d like to assign to someone else
  2. Hover over the action item to be assigned
  3. Click on the ‘bell icon – when done, notify’ that appears on hover
  4. On the popup that appears, start typing the name of the person who should be notified once the item is completed and select from the options that appear.
  •  The needed person would now be notified once the to-do is marked as done.
